The right distributions for landscape lighting applications.
Ensuring correct light distribution has lead GonLED to include various options in our LED optics. We offer a 12-degree spot and 25-degree flood and inground that are comparable to a 20Watt MR16, enabling these products to meet your landscape lighting needs (see attached photometry for comparison). The underwater luminaire has a 25-degree flood distribution. Our Steplights provide smooth, even illumination perfect for steps and paths of egress; cast louvers direct the light downward. Using the side emitter optics available in some luminaires it casts a beautiful and wide horizontal light pattern (see attached photometry). The 80-degree holographic diffuser used in one fixture furthers our unique optical package (see attached photometry) by blending the individual LEDs, creating the appearance of a single lamp. The Pathlights direct the LED light down onto the path. The color temperature of all our LED luminaires is varies from 6,500 Kelvin to 2,700 Kelvin and the RGB products can provide over 6 million different colors; please consult your GONLED Sales Representative for more information.
The total cost of ownership benefit.
Compared to halogen lamps – an industry standard for landscape – LEDs last up to 25 times longer (based on a 2000 hour 20W BAB Halogen). Our 12.4W LED inground, and underwater luminaires provide lumen output comparable to a 20W Halogen lamp while using approximately 40% less energy. When comparing a 20W Halogen to 10.4 Watts of a GONLED light there are total savings of $122.55 over two years and more than $400 over five years. (Assuming: $.20/KWhr, 10 hours on a day for 365 days a year, $4.00 Halogen lamp cost, 2000 hour Halogen life vs. 50000 hour LED life, $15.00 Halogen lamp replacement labor cost).
Keep in mind that at 50,000 hours our luminaires still deliver 70% lumen maintenance – you still get 70% of the lumen output the LEDs had at the beginning of their life cycle. Unlike Halogen and other traditional sources which experience noticeable to complete failure at the end of their life cycle, our LED luminaires have a slow decrease in light output over a longer period of time. As a result, installations will not experience cascading lamp failures and dark spots, keeping your application well lit and providing more safety and security. Add in the maintenance free aspect and the value becomes significant.
The GONLED Advantage.
GONLED luminaires are perfect for hard to reach places, areas difficult to maintain, in trees and in ponds, and placement requiring scaffolding to install. Our family of LED luminaires has great potential for commercial and residential applications. Both markets will reap tremendous benefits from the low energy consumption, strong lumen output and extremely long life. Simplicity of installation and freedom from maintenance appeals to the high end resort industry as well as the upscale homeowner. LEDs present a new growth market for lighting and GONLED will be there to support you with the highest quality and broadest selection of specification grade LED landscape lighting products available anywhere.
